| Sweet Blues Berry Farm is a 100 acre blueberry farm located in Hollywood, SC, 20 miles south of historic Charleston. The farm consists of 50 acres of organically grown "rabbit eye" blueberries with the major cultivars - Climax, Brightwell and Tiff Blue - obtained from southeastern Georgia. Due to ideal soil conditions and otherwise, the farm yields exceptionally high quality blueberries. The other 50 acres are currently planted in corn but available for expansion into blueberries. The farm is part of a family owned, pristine 2000 acre tract that serves as an animal refuge. The 50 acres of planted blueberries yielded a 2009 crop of over 90,000 pounds, all of which was purchased by a well established local market including Whole Foods, Earth Fare, Harris Teeter and other local grocery chains, markets and restaurants. The farm is a turnkey operation that is well equipped with a state of the art irrigation system fed by two deep wells, all necessary machinery and a fully outfitted packing shed with BEI equipment. The farm was started in 1979 by a retired physician who desires to lease the farm and all necessary equipment, but is willing to advise and assist as necessary. Terms to be negotiated.
